About Izzy ~ 6Yr Old Cattle Dog (On Trial 19/09/20)
Izzy is a 6 year old cattle dog and is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. She has a cute smile which is best seen when receiving pats from her human.
Izzy loves attention from her human - pats, tummy rubs and being called a good girl (which she is). She loves exploring, sniffing new smells, walks/jogs and playing at the park with a ball launcher. She plays well with other dogs at the park and at the beach so would be suited for a home with another doggo. She is very placid and not aggressive in any way. She obeys well with sit, come, stay, out and appears to be very clever. She dislikes thunderstorms and being left alone for long periods of times.
Sadly, Izzy’s owner passed away which has led to some anxiety when coming to a new home. Izzy will need to be eased into any time alone as it adds to her anxiety. She needs someone with patience who will be at home to make her feel comfortable while she settles in. Once she feels safe and comfortable in her new home Izzy will be the best bud.
After coming into care, Izzy was anxious upon arrival but settled down after about 24 hours with some pats and patience from her carer. Once settled, Izzy is an amazing companion. She is always happy and loves being with her human. She is fiercely loyal and enjoys just being part of the family. She requires secure solid fencing with no gaps underneath to ensure she stays safe within her home environment.
For more information or to meet Izzy, please contact her foster carer Olivia on oliviabarfield@hotmail.com. She is located at Merewether (Suburb of Newcastle NSW)
