Charlie-Chips is extremely shy. He hasnt had much life experience and it took him two weeks to learn how to walk on a lead. Itās been very hard for him and he is still learning how to be happy and confident. But he is also very affectionate, very good motivated and a funny little guy. He will never be āperfectā or ānormalā but he deserves a caring loving home. One where heāll never be hit or yelled at again, someone kind and willing to help him.
Update: Charlie is now enjoying walks and has come along in leaps and bounds. He is still very shy but getting better every day.
Please tell us why you are the best match for CC .
To be clear, this means outlining, in your application, the things you would do to help him overcome his shyness, your experience, anything that will help us to decide you might be the right home. Discussing Charlie and his issues is very important to include in the application. Writing about a plan, in a comprehensive manner.
Charlie , a chihuahua, but we think he is a cross because he is tall.
Heās very shy of strangers and barks at them, even regular visitors.
He sometimes pees in the house, even with access to outside, this might be a sign of anxiety.
He bonds to one person and is shy with everyone else, never aggressive or bitey, never.
He goes to group training and does really well, surprisingly.
So you see heās not the most adoptable type. Not your regular dog.
If you think you are up for the challenges and can accept him the way he is then please let me know.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Hereās some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
š± Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the petās bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
š¾ Details about your family
š” Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
