About Lara
Lara came to us with two kittens that we were asked to rescue from a dangerous situation. Her kittens have now been rehomed and Lara is safe in foster care. She was not very trusting of humans at all when she first arrived but her foster carer has been working with her and she now enjoys pats and brushes at meal times and gets very excited when her carer approaches (especially when food is involved!) which is great progress. She is not at the lap sitting or cuddling stage but she loves to play, especially if you have a toy on a string for her! She still has her street smart ways and can give a swipe and hiss at times when you least expect it so she will need an experienced cat person that can determine her mood by looking at her body language. Lara has been desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and microchipped. She is very shy with strangers so will need time to adjust to her new family and home environment. She would not be suitable for children due to her unpredictable nature. She would be ok with another feline friendly cat as she doesn't get upset when the resident cats go near her. If you think you can give this gorgeous girl a safe loving indoor home and give her the time she needs to settle, please hit the enquire now button.
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me from death row and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Forms will be emailed to you on request. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
