About Beau
Gorgeous spotty moohound, Beau is 2 years old and ready to find his pawfect snuggle buddy. He would love nothing more than couch to share, and you'll often find him lounging under a blanket, or upside down with his long, spotty legs in the air!
Beau is a gentle giant, affectionate and cuddly and loves any toy that squeaks. Beau is a robust toy and snack tester. He's very food motivated – Beau enjoys sweet potato, bananas, strawberries and chicken strips, but he'd probably love any snack! Love, patience and snacks are the keys to this boy's heart!
Beau is also a shadow snoot and will follow you to each room, including the bathroom just to supervise! As he's a younger hound, he'll require a good routine and strict boundaries. Beau's ideal home is one that is quieter, for this reason he's not suitable to apartment-style living and would be best suited to someone home more often than not. We do not recommend kids for Beau, as he's a sensitive soul and doesn't like loud noises.
Due to COVID19, we've been unable to conduct proper socialisation or separation training, this is something you'll need to take into consideration before adoption and continue to responsibly muzzle until you are sure of his reactions. Beau's new home will need to be patient and understanding, as Beau adapts to new environments.
If you're looking for a new Beau with four legs, a cute spotty bum and a nose to boop, this might be the one for you!
Summary:
- Not small dog or cat friendly
- If kids, 12+ years
- Not suitable to apt living
- Part-time workers
Medical notes
Desexed, vaccinated, has had a dental scale + polish, up-to-date with flea and worm treatments. Microchip inclusive of adoption fee.

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
Click 'Enquire about this pet' to contact us or email us at adoptions@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. We'll send you an EOI form, this must be returned before proceeding.
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
If your application is successful, we'll invite you to a virtual Meet + Greet via Zoom. We might ask you for additional photos or a tour around your house and/or garden. Pending the outcome of this virtual meet + greet, we will organise for your new greyhound to be delivered to you taking all COVID precautions.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
