About Spot
Woof, Spot is 3 year old moo-hound looking for love. Spot is equal parts confident, independent and playful. Happy to laze around by himself or join you on the couch whilst you binge Netflix. Spot hopes there's a couch seat with his name on it.
A classic greyhound, Spot is a champion snoozer, a gentle giant, curious and will follow you like a snoot-shaped shadow. He's a quick learner and food motivated, but you'll need to clear the snacks from the counter lest he think they're for him!
Spot's tail does big windmill circles and goes into overdrive when you come home, grab the lead or open the snacks, especially if they're chicken strips!
Spot's new family will need to continue his training and socialisation. Due to COVID19, we've been unable to conduct socialisation or separation training, this is something you'll need to take into consideration before adoption and continue to responsibly muzzle until you are sure of Spot's reactions.
Spot is looking for someone who is home more often than not, with a backyard or courtyard, the ability to take him for a once daily walk and shower him with scritches and snacks.

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
Click 'Enquire about this pet' to contact us or email us at adoptions@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. We'll send you an EOI form, this must be returned before proceeding.
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – COVID MEET + GREET:
If your application is successful, we'll invite you to a virtual Meet + Greet via Zoom. We might ask you for additional photos or a tour around your house and/or garden. Pending the outcome of this virtual meet + greet, we will organise for your new greyhound to be delivered to you taking all COVID precautions.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
