About Harley and Bentley
Harley and Bentley are looking for their forever home ... and a very special forever home it will be. Both Chihuahua's, Harley and Bentley were born on 24th July, 2019 and must be rehomed together.
Both boys are extremely timid and unsure about the world. While we have no knowledge of their background before arriving with us, it is very clear that these two boys are bonded and must find their new family together.
Bentley and Harley are slowly beginning to come out of their shell a little, with Bentley being a little more inquisitive about people each day. Both boys will run up to you and sniff you (Bentley will even give you a little kiss), but they will then run away again.
These boys are looking for a family with no small children or a person/couple who are prepared to be patient while they settle into their new family life. They will need to be given time to trust and know they are safe.
We do not believe that either have been on lead before as they refuse to walk and their new home will be one where there is very secure lower sections of fencing.
While both Harley and Bentley are scared of large dogs, they did seem inquisitive of smaller dogs. However during their settling in period, we would recommend no other dogs at this stage. The boys seemed to have no problems with cats or pocket pets and could be rehomed with cats/pocket pets after a proper introduction.
Harley and Bentley show no signs of food aggression, and although they do not seem bothered by loud noises, they do startle with fast movements and we would recommend they be allowed inside during thunder storms and fireworks where they know they are safe.
Although these gorgeous boys will require a lot of patience, love and hard work to settle them in to their new environment, the rewards will be so amazing for everyone and worth every second.
Because of their special circumstances, we will be screening each applicant closely and there may be several meets required at the facility with Harley and Bentley before we feel that a bond is beginning to grow and they are allowed home with you.
Harley and Bentley's adoption fee is $1200 for the pair and includes their desexing, lifetime registration, and 3 x training lessons with thanks to Wyong Dog Training. They are also regularly treated for flea and worms and are up to date with their vaccinations for their age.
To enquire more or to meet Bentley and Harley, please call the facility on 02 43044350 or email gosfordpound@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Harley and Bentley are looking forward to meeting you.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please give the facility a call on 43044350 to make an appointment and ask further questions.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide helps the facility to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home.
Once all of your questions have been answered, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the facility unless prior arrangements are made by management.
After the meet and greet, a yard check will be completed at your home to ensure that your home and yard is suitable for the kind of pet you are interested in. Please bring to your appointment photos of your fencing also showing all gates that attach to the house.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
