About Roscoe
Roscoe is a super happy and friendly dog who loves people and is very eager to please. He is an absolute delight to have around the house, he loves being a part of the family and is a total love bug. He is extremely affectionate, gentle and cuddly. He loves playtime including wrestling and playing tug, loves belly rubs and being held like a baby.
Roscoe has demonstrated some dog reactivity on lead so we're looking for a home where he will be the only dog, that can continue his socialization and training on creating positive experiences with other dogs. He is working on building his independence and learning how to play by himself. Roscoe has not had a lot of opportunity to spend time home alone (due to lockdown) and has shown some signs of separation anxiety.
Roscoe would love a family who is committed to his ongoing obedience training, socialisation and building up his confidence. He loves kids but can be boisterous so smaller children may not be suitable. He requires a home with a backyard with secure fencing that he can't dig under and will not suit a home with cats or small animals.
Roscoe is responding very well to his obedience training and learning his manners. He gets very excited meeting new people and is working on his jumping up when saying hello. He is toilet trained, sleeps well through the night and knows how to sit, stay, go to his bed and is working on lying down.
Roscoe is very intelligent and benefits from canine enrichment to keep him entertained, but is also a very chill dog who is happy just hanging out and keeping you company. Roscoe isn’t super energetic but is active and loves two long walks a day- he is also learning how to go on runs. Roscoe is responding well to lead training and recall and will benefit from continued loose leash walking. He is working on his confidence when out and about and getting used to the city noises and traffic.
