About Ned
*** Please read all the way to the end to ensure he is suitable for you before applying for Ned ***
Why hello world!
My name is Ned and I am looking for my perfect forever home!
Let me tell you a little bit about me. I am a very energetic, loving boy who enjoys the company of people and other dogs alike.
I absolutely love swimming and frolicking in the water - a trip to the beach or the lake is the highlight of my day! I'm not just a beach boy though, I also love to go for long sniffy bush walks and runs as well!
I travel well in the car and love to look out the window to take in the big wide world.
I'm an intelligent boy who is eager to please so I learn new commands quickly. I really enjoy my training sessions and hope that I can find a home who is dedicated to continuing these! Recently I have been learning to sit, stay, wait, go to my 'place', go to my 'crate', eat, and 'get it'. I am both food and play driven which makes rewarding me for my good behaviour so much easier! Fetch and tug are my favourite games to play.
I know to go to the toilet outside and am happy to let myself out when nature calls. Speaking of inside, I am great at sitting on my mat although nothing beats laying on the cool floorboards! My place training is going very well and I can now stay in my place while my foster mum walks around the house - though I'd love some more practice to keep this going!
I really love playing with my foster brother Walter who is a similar size to me. I also love playing with smaller dogs! I sometimes get a bit frightened of larger dogs although with a steady dog-to-dog introduction, I love to zoom around with them too!
As a smarty pants, I do get a bit bored if I am left to my own devices for long periods and I enjoy a little dig in the garden. I told my foster mum that I was just trying to help her with her gardening but she didn't believe me... I guess that's because she doesn't like gardening... her loss, it's very fun!
Due to some trauma from my past life, I do prefer lady humans over men. With that said, I have recently met some kind gentleman who took the time to show me that I could trust them and I warmed up to them quite quickly.
Now I guess it's time for me to tell you what I am looking for in a perfect family.
- A home with another dog to play with and keep me company during the day.
- A home with a nice big yard to play in
- A home where I'll be both mentally and physically stimulated every day with daily walks/runs, training, play and food puzzles instead of a food bowl to keep my brain active.
I know my perfect family is out there somewhere, I can't wait to meet them!
Adoption details
Please do not send an "Enquiry". Please instead follow the below steps:
Step 1: Fill in our application form with as much detail as possible - https://forms.gle/sPnL6QS2ik5A5XUR8
Step 2: If suitable, one of our foster carers will contact you via phone to further discuss the dog you have applied for and assess suitability. The same will also be done for other applicants.
Step 3: A meet and greet will then be organised so that you and the dog can meet.
Step 4: Once the meet and greet has been completed, if our team advises that you may be a suitable candidate you will then be required to submit a detailed written application (a template will be emailed to you) - we will then assess all applications and get back to you with an outcome. We may request a home inspection prior to finalising any application.
Dogs are offered for a trial period in new homes for 21 days before the adoption is confirmed.
No entire dogs will be re-homed under any circumstances.
