About Kiko
Stunning – this sums up Kiko. But we are looking for a specific type of home for her that will suit her needs.
Kiko needs a quiet household. This means no kids and ideally no more than 2 adults. She is fearful of visitors to the home – so her new home should not have a lot of people dropping in or coming by. Due to her tendency to exhibit a fearful response to visitors it is important that her new owners are very dog experienced and have experience training dogs. She requires a home with stability and clear guidance in order to allow her to grow in confidence over time. Kiko bonds strongly to her owners and needs to know that she does not need to protect them. Ideally, her new owners will be home more often than not and be willing to engage a recommended trainer if necessary.
Kiko needs a home with another suitable doggie companion. She loves to play and is friendly with other dogs. The other dog (or dogs) in the household should be stable in temperament, not demonstrate any anxious or nervous behaviours and not mind having some playtime with other dogs.
Kiko is an inside dog who should have access to the yard to run around and play with her toys or chase her ball. She must have a place to sleep inside and she is crate trained. Kiko also travels well in the car, walks well on lead, has decent recall and knows a whole bunch of tricks. Despite being well trained, she thrives off guidance and direction – she is happiest when she is told and shown what to do by pack leaders. Kiko loves to sit on your lap and get affection making her a great companion. She is not suitable for units or apartments as she will bark at unfamiliar noises. Her beautiful large coat requires regular grooming as she does have a tendency to matt. When you pick her up you realise how small she actually is - she weighs only 7kg.
Kiko is a beautiful girl who bonds strongly with her owners and will bring a lot of love and joy to the right family. To apply please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website and include details of your dog experience.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
