About Jetta
** Please read prior to applying - requiring a special home **
Meet our bundle of happiness Jetta - also known as Jettabug or Jetty!! This special girl was rescued from a community located 2hrs from Newman. We saw instantly that something was wrong with her front right leg--she was unable to lift it and was constantly dragging it on the ground causing a wound. This didn't stop Jetta from doing everything like a dog with 4 legs could, she has always been happy! After many vet checks and x-rays, it appeared this was an old injury, and she would never regain feeling in her leg - the best thing was to have it removed. Jetta is now a 3-legged princess and is still so energetic and outgoing.
Currently, in a home with other dogs, Jetta is gentle with all she meets and super social. She befriends all that come to stay, be they large breed dogs or teeny puppies (from 2kgs). As a Kelpie X (possibly a Dingo X), Jetta has A LOT of energy and is looking for her right fit of a home as she loves to go for walks and being by her humans' side. Still learning, when Jetta is excited she will jump and slightly mouth still being puppy like, however she knows that when she sits and listens, she will receive pats and love.
She is needing a home that can give her the one-on-one she craves and train her further as she is still needing extra loving. She is so extremely clever, eager to please, and loyal to her humans along with being independent and knowing what she wants and needs. She is eager to learn and LOVES food so training will be a breeze. Jetta is most happy when she can be next to you or out and about going for a run. Her favourite is going to the dog park, to carry her ball in her mouth the whole time whilst hopping around. When a ball isn't around, she loves to find a doggy pal to tumble and rough play with.
She is fantastic in the car and LOVES going for drives as it always leads to an adventure. Jetta is house trained never having any indoor accidents (crying or letting out a bark to wake you if she is needing to toilet) and has her own bed in her foster humans' bedroom where she sleeps all night. Jetta doesn't like to be alone so will need a home where she has another furry dog friend OR someone who is home often that can give her the time she needs as she will be a cheeky girl and make her own fun if she is bored or doesn't have enough toys to play with.
Jetta has had a rough start to life and is still very puppy like. She has moved a few times being too much for her foster homes and also rehomed and given back to SAFE not being the right fit for her previous family. Now settled in her current foster home for quite some time, she has had the stability and time for us to know what she requires in her permanent family. She is needing someone who can understand her needs and give this excitable ball of energy the time, love and patience she requires. She will be a great and loyal addition to a special home if you can put in the effort to accept and love her, and provide her with adequate training and exercise.
From her foster mum - ""Having Jetty at my place as a foster girl, she has blossomed and I am so proud of how far she has come. From being a crazy girl with no training straight from a community, to now using her wonderful manners. Watching her gentle nature with the other dogs and cats in my home, to learning how to adapt to having 3 legs. She accepts each foster animal that comes through always being happy to have a friend join the 'pack'. Jetta spends her days watching each foster go to their new homes and now it's her turn. We adore her - she deserves a special happily ever after.""
If you have the time and love to give Jetta and all of the above sounds perfect for you, please fill out the below application with as much information as possible.
