Remi is a very pretty grey kitten whose beauty is obvious from the moment you meet her. However this girl does have some issues that need careful consideration before applying to adopt her.

Firstly, Remi’s time on the street has given her a taste of life in the great outdoors and it is where she loves to be, so she needs to go to a home that has an outdoor cat enclosure. Many people have worked to get Remi off the streets and we don’t want her to go back there, so having an outdoor enclosure is essential.

Secondly, Remi has bad habit of biting....and it’s not a kitten playful bite. As a legacy of living on the streets, Remi doesn’t understand how to control her behaviour in this regard around people. So she needs an experienced “cat person” who can take the time to lovingly break this habit.

For this reason, we do not want Remi going to a home with children. Teenagers would be fine, as long as they know that Remi can nip and bite her humans even when she’s being cuddled and patted. Her biting does come out of the blue and this unpredictability can upset and make small, young children fearful of her.

Remi is still a young girl herself and she has come a long way in foster care, however there is still work to be done. So please don’t apply for Remi unless you are prepared to put in the work to reap the rewards.

Remi really is a very beautiful girl and is worth the effort, for the right person. She loves to play with other cats and has been around a dog. However she is still largely untested with dogs as her foster carer’s dog has been immobilised due to injury recovery.

Remi loves to play with cat toys, she races through her tunnel and loves to play with pipe cleaners and various other household items. Remi is also a suckler, possibly as a result of being away from her mum too soon. Remi suckles on a blanket as she is purring and settling down for a kitty nap. Remi will sleep on your bed or on a soft blanket or jacket – she’s not fussed.

Remi is also not fussed about food – she loves everything you can give. Life on the streets was rough for this girl, so she LOVES any food and she doesn't care if it's not hers... She's still learning about food etiquette (i.e. that she shouldn't steal human or dog food or steal from the kitchen bench!).

Remi is cuddly and affectionate and she is exceptionally pretty, however we need to give you the full picture about her personality in order to find the right home for her. Overall, Remi is a darling little girl and she has slotted into family life like it was meant to be - and we’re sure she will do the same with her adopting family.
