About Katsu
*In foster care in Rozelle, NSW*
Katsu is full of personality and affection! Within a day of arriving in foster care with her kittens, she'd trained her new humans to turn on the tap so she could drink the running water :)
This beautiful young lady is a talkative little adventurer, and loves to trill and chirp as she explores the house. She'll always greet you at the door in the morning or when you get home with a purr and a snuggle.
When her eyes go wide and her tail starts swinging, you can tell it’s play time! Katsu is extremely playful, and her favourite game is fetch with her favourite toy - she'll keep going until she's exhausted! (You can see some fetch videos and more photos here: http://www.houseofcameo.com/katsu/#itemId=5f1cc8cc33dc5444790e310a) When she's ready to recharge she'll jump into your lap or onto the chair next to you, especially if it’s in front of the heater. She has a super-cute way of nudging your hand to make sure you're patting her in just the right spot <3
While very independent by nature, Katsu does enjoy being in the same room as her special people - just knowing you're there makes her feel safe and content. She's also harness-trained and would love to spend some time outdoors if possible, feeling the breeze through her fur and munching on the grass. A secure enclosure where she could snooze in the sun would be even better!
Like all Maggie's pets, Katsu is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with a family who understands I'm still a kitten at heart and can sometimes play a little rough ('enthusiastic' is probably a nicer word!) - you'll need to be ready for my big purrsonality! Fetch is my favourite thing in the world, so you'll need to have the time to interact with me and keep me entertained. Unlike some more placid cats, I'm not just ornamental :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm still young and have big bursts of energy - but when I'm all pooped out, I love to snuggle with you.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I can be a little jumpy with loud noises and fast movement, but I reckon I'd be fine with older children who can respect my boundaries and read my body language. My tail and purring are the best guides to how I’m feeling!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I loved playing with my kittens as they were growing up but haven’t spent time with any other cats or dogs while in foster care. I'd probably settle in well with another playful, active cat :)

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
