Oh, darling Mia... Originally brought to the shelter as a stray in 2020, Mia has been surrendered back to our care due to sudden illness in her owners. Mia is a beautiful little lass but does not cope well in the shelter, she's now much more used to a loving home environment and isn't coping with the change. Mia is sweet and affectionate and loving, but shy. We love her pieces, but the shelter isn't the place for her.
Mia is a cat who will need a gentle and experienced hand. She will likely take a while to settle into her new home and we recommend a safe space for her to get comfortable in before she makes any introductions into the house. We know that Mia responds well to women and has met (but not lived with) older children in her previous home. She could possibly live with other cats given a slow introduction but might be best as an only pet. As we know, Mia has the potential to be a truly wonderful companion, she just needs to right people and the right environment to make this happen.
