On Hold
Spencer is a sweet boy, but can be timid, although we have seen his confidence grow dramatically since he first came to RSPCA.
We have found that Spencer really loves his food, so his new family will need to be mindful of feeding appropriate food and amounts to prevent him becoming overweight, which would impact on his health. We recommend Hills Science Diet which is the food we serve up to all animals at RSPCA Animal Care Centres, all over Australia.
Because we are aware that Spencer was being allowed to roam at night, causing some consternation for his neighbour's small pets, it will be important to keep Spencer contained on his own property, and particularly at night. That would mean our small native animals would also be protected from this boy. The RSPCA promotes responsible cat ownership and, in-line with the Tasmanian Cat Management Act, we recommend keeping cats inside at all times, or having a secure outdoor play area for them to venture into safely to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.
