Romey is a lovely big girl who is sweet and playful. She enjoys the company of people and also gets on well with other dogs. Romey has been in Foster Care for much of her life, so she has had great basic training and is both toilet and crate trained. Romey will be a large, strong adult dog and it is imperative that her new owner continue with her training and maintain her socialisation to people, other dogs and the world in general. Romey must have daily exercise, enrichment and be allowed to live indoors when her people are at home.

This dog appears to be a purebred. IE; there are no other dog breeds recognisably present. With any purebred dog - RSPCA ACT strongly suggests that any interested adopter thoroughly researches the breed to ensure that it is the right match for your home/family/lifestyle.

Guarding breeds of dog tend to be large, powerful and muscular. Guarding breeds generally bond well with their owner/family, but once settled into their home can become very protective and may display protective behaviours (holding ground, barking) towards visitors to the home. This is a breed trait that may need to be managed for the life of the dog.

We recommend Romey for a family with children 10 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

The adoption fee for Romey is $750.00 which helps to cover the cost of her mandatory de-sexing, vaccinations, microchip and a lot of care from the RSPCA crew. Who says you can't buy love?!
