About Rebecca
Everyone who meets little REBECCA falls hopelessly in love with her. This beautiful red kelpie pup was rescued from a property in western Queensland and is now ready for her forever home.
Born in April 2020, Rebecca is kelpie through and through - super sweet, highly intelligent, alert and very trainable - and currently weighs 6.3 kgs.
Kelpies are great family pets, loyal companions and excellent watchdogs. They have an exceptionally high IQ and may get into mischief if left to their own devices. They require plenty of exercise, and may become bored if stuck in a backyard without stimulation or company for long periods of time.
The secret to bringing the best out in a kelpie is to keep her occupied and well loved.
A kelpie's greatest joy is the love and attention of an active owner or family, while her greatest disappointment is inactivity and lack of attention.
Kelpies are eager to please and extremely loyal. Wherever their humans are, that's where they'll be too - whether that's out in a boat, in the back of a car, going for a walk, training for agility competitions or herding, or just watching television in the evening.
To be happy and content, Rebecca will need plenty of vigorous daily exercise and play. Secure fencing is a must.
If you are interested in meeting Rebecca and can offer her a suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Rebecca's adoption fee is $850 and she is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
