Luna

Lovely LUNA is a young Irish wolfhound female with a heart as big as the rest of her. She is an extremely gentle, sensitive and easygoing soul and would make a wonderful addition to a wolfie-loving family.

About 46 kgs in weight, Luna is not the largest wolfhound around, but she's still an imposing dog and will need plenty of room to stretch out and be comfortable.

Luna loves other dogs and is currently living very happily with a chihuahua and a kelpie. She is untested with cats and children. Although she doesn't have an aggressive bone in her generous body, she is so big and strong that she's probably better suited to a home without small children.

Her exercise needs are relatively modest. Take her out for a good walk or run every day and she'll be content to sprawl around the house, enjoying the company of her human family.

Fortunately, wolfhounds don't shed but they still need to be combed a couple of times a week to look their best. The beard can become dirty from food and needs to be washed regularly.

Luna has had one litter of pups that we know of, but her maternal duties are now over and done with. She is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.

If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, we'd love to hear from you. Preference will be given to homes where:

* someone is home most of the time or there's another dog;
* there are no small children or cats; and
* there's high secure fencing and a decent sized backyard.

Prior experience with giant breeds will be viewed favourably.
