Hi. I'm Harley. I'm a 17-month-old Border collie boy.
I'm a happy-go-lucky boy who is searching for an active home that is experienced with the border collie breed. My ideal home will have a playful female border collie and have space for me to run. True to my breed, I can be a little nippy if I get too excited so a home without young kids is best.
I do like other dogs, but they don't always warm to me. Foster mum thinks it's just my play style. I play very well with the little female border collie cross here in care and do zoomie's with my Kelpie foster brother, but I'm definitely more popular with other border collies. I live with cats and am calm and well behaved around them. I am not good with chickens and will chase them if given the chance. I have not been tested with livestock. I'm a total water baby and will jump in rain, hail or shine..mud included.
I'm very clever and love to learn. Treats are the best, but I also enjoy playing with a ball, and will insist you throw it for me. I sit and wait patiently for my food. I don't show food aggression towards humans but prefer to dine without doggie company.
I love my humans and enjoy cuddles in the evening. I know to stay off the lounge but do enjoy my soft dog bed. I'm house trained but I prefer to go outside when bed time comes around.
I'm searching for an active home that will include me in their every day lives. A home with lots of physical & mental stimulation.
If you think you can offer me the perfect home, then send foster mum an email. She'd love to hear from you.
Love & licks,
Harley
