🐱💜MEET BRITTANY💜🐱
Hello there, my name is Brittany and as you can see I am a pretty calico girl. I have been living with my foster mum for a bit over 3 months now and have slowly warmed to her but I’m now on the lookout for my forever family.
Nature
I’m quite a timid kitty so it has taken me a little while to get used to living with humans and to learn to trust them. My foster mum has noticed quite a few improvements in me over the time we have been together, I sometimes even lick her hand when I’m happy, so she is sure with patience and the right family, I will become the perfect house cat. I may never be the kind that you can pick up and hold like a baby - I may even hiss a little while I get used to my new family if I’m pushed too soon but I will eventually warm up to you as long as you are calm and respect my boundaries, we will get along just great- I promise!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I will need a quiet, calm environment where there are no loud noises that can startle me so I think I would be best suited to a mature home with no young children.
I have been living with a confident cat for a couple of months now and this has really helped me come out of my shell. I am the kind of cat that takes the cue from another cat - If I can see them happily living with humans, it helps me to feel more comfortable too. My foster mum thinks that while I would be ok as a lone cat, my purrfect fur-ever home would have another feline friendly cat there to show me the ropes on how to become the perfect companion.
I haven’t interacted with dogs just yet but with a slow introduction I may be ok with a cat savvy pooch, as long as they respect my boundaries.
Likes / Dislikes
I love my food and always lick my bowls clean everyday. I have dry food to graze on all day long and wet food in the morning and evening. I’m not fussy when it comes to food - I like any type however warm roast chicken would have to be my favourite! I have recently discovered the joy of cat treats and I love the dry ones as well as the creamy ones. My foster mum has discovered that food is the way to my heart and by using these she will get me to trust & love her, over time of course. I will also mention I am a very clean girl and use my litter tray like a boss lady!
I love sitting high up on my cat tree in my foster home where I can feel safe. I will probably hide for a while when I first get to my fur-ever home - It took me a couple of weeks to start feel safe being out in the open, mostly on top of the cat tree, while my foster mum was in the same room. I spend most of my days just chilling in the little house on my cat tree - It took me a while, but I am now happy to come out of my safe spot there and sit at the window, watching the world go by while my foster mum is in the same room. I even explore the rest of the house during the day now but I am still very cautious about doing so and will run and hide if anyone follows me.
