I'm Rocco and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I like both male and female dogs
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard for long periods of time
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy

My best features:
• LOVE people
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• Very playful
• I can sit & shake hands
• I appear to be housetrained
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am a VERY BIG boy and I can be a bit bouncy - I need a family who promise to teach me doggie manners so I can become a well behaved boy and learn not to jump all over people
• I am EXTREMELY strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this

Medical issues:
• I currently have an open wound on my back. My vet is happy with the way it's healing and said I can find a new family while it's still healing but it may take a little while to be fully healed.

ANY EXISTING DOGS MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET ROCCO BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
