About Franklin
PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 and travel being restricted, I can only be adopted in NSW or ACT.
Franklin is a gentle natured and well mannered three year old stock coat Male German Shepherd who is in care at Kurri Kurri, NSW.
Franklin is currently living wIth his fellow German Shepherd rescue chums and enjoying their company. However we suggest a home as an only dog or a playful female dog of similar size.
Franklin was surrendered into our care from a family where he was a much loved family member. Decisions were made and a Franklin came to us. This darling boy sat at our carer’s gate for days waiting for his old owner to return.
Franklin will make an amazing companion dog with his gentle nature and voice responsive training.
Best suited to a home who have recently owned and had experience with the Shepherd breed. The new home must have secure fencing, areas of shelter for Franklin and he must have inclusion in the home.
Franklin is a large breed dog so we recommend a home with teenage children who understand and can manage his size and are dog savvy.
If you think you can give this boy a new home please contact us by selecting the green button "Enquire about this Pet".
Medical notes
Franklin is desexed, fully immunised, microchipped and on heart worm prevention. Franklin will go to his new home with his bedding and halti and toys.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
