Padlock

Hello! I am Padlock, the affectionate tan and white Pilbara Special. I am more on the medium size of small and have a unique little 'mohawk"" along my back, making my Foster Carer think I share some genetics with a ridgeback. Although I do have the patches of a Jack Russell I am not Jack Russell size.

At first, I may seem shy, but I really am a people dog, adults or kids, please just give me cuddles! I am looking for a home with one person or a family that can nurture and shower me with love. In return I offer unconditional affection and endless puppy smooches even though I am 3 years of age 😊. Just watch out, I can be quick to ensure I get my kiss in!

Not only am I great with people, but also other dogs too. Although I am not the most energetic dog, I do enjoy getting out for a walk and stretching my legs.
I am house trained and my Foster Carer has not seen a destructive side when it comes to digging and chewing. But I am sorry to say, that other than this, I have had little to no training. I am trying my best to learn basic manners with my Foster Carer and will benefit from ongoing support and positive reinforcement.

Treats and toys are not really my thing, but I do enjoy a juicy bone. I am also not a very talkative dog, so excessive barking is not likely to be an issue. However, my desire for affection does mean I can get a bit upset when initially separated from my loving Foster Carer. So, I would say I am best suited to a home where someone is around a lot in the beginning, so I can settle in before gradually being left on my own more.
