About Charlie
Charlie is a gentle soul who is super friendly, very smart and looking to settle down in a loving home. He is a loyal boy who adores the company of his humans, is well mannered and very obedient inside the house, having spent a lot of his life living indoors. Charlie sleeps inside, likes being close to people and will often follow you around the house with curiosity. He loves having his own bed but be warned – he can be cheeky and usually sneaks onto the couch once the lights are turned off!
Since arriving at his foster family, Charlie has been exploring the great outdoors and learning to walk nicely on the leash. He is a strong boy who is very excited to go for walks and finds himself easily distracted by all the smells around him. He will need someone who is willing to continue this training with him, but he is a quick learner and has already mastered sitting to cross the road.
While he is very chill inside the home, Charlie does have ‘working dog’ genes and will need daily exercise outdoors. He is very talented at soccer and loves to chase the ball down – he will even share the ball around so you can take turns kicking it to him! In his down time, Charlie will seek attention from his humans for as many head scratches or belly rubs as he can get. Don’t be surprised when sitting at the desk or table if a little wet nose suddenly appears in your lap!
Charlie enjoys the company of his humans, but he is a little unsure about other dogs and does not seem particularly fond of cats. He would likely thrive being the only doggy in the family so he can have you all to himself. Even though he has not been tested thoroughly around children, he is very patient and gentle and often says hello to children on walks. Charlie will make a fantastic addition to any family who is willing to put in a bit of effort for the most beautiful, kind and gentle doggo.
