About Humbert (now on trial adoption)
This cat has started a trial adoption and we are no longer taking enquiries. thank you.
Humbert is a young tabby boy with striking markings. He is such a character, he will keep you entertained, hum a song for you and is not shy about coming to you for cuddles and affection.
Humbert is very playful - still a kitten in some ways - and likes to actively play with his toys several times a day, his favourite being 'the slippery fish' - a stuffed fish on a piece of elastic that Humbert LOVES chasing around. He also loves his scratching pole.
During the day Humbert likes to snooze in his basket, stirring himself now and again to check out what is going on. He likes to help his foster mum with her computer work (plonks himself on her laptop, blocking the screen and pressing all the keys until they beep). He will then curl up on his mum's lap or on the chair behind here and lie there all afternoon, slowly stretching out ..
In the evening Humbert likes to curl up on his foster dad's chest and watch TV with the family.
This little man will make your days brighter & steal your heart. If you would like to meet Humbert, he would love to hear from you. He is in foster care in an apartment at Centennial Park Sydney.

***Special Update***
Because of the Coronavirus situation we are receiving an unprecedented number of enquiries. We are just a small group of people and are still working hard to get dogs and cats out of pounds and to safety as well as answer enquiries about animals we already have in care. Please be patient with us as we work through the enquiries. Thank you.
If you are interested in meeting one of our animals we would love to hear from you.
Please email us at poundrescue@yahoo.com with your phone number, a brief description of the family home you can offer - the number of adults and children in the home, other pets, how long the animal would be left on its own each day, whether your fencing is secure and so on. PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR EMAIL TO US.
We try and answer all enquiries asap but are all volunteers, so we thank you for your patience.
If an animal is adopted inter-state we can help organise transport . The cost of transport is paid by the adopting family.
All our animals are desexed, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Our adoption fee covers our basic costs.
