About Levi DL2496
Levi is a smart and handsome little man who needs a very special home.
A homebody, Levi is happiest in the comfort of his own home. He loves snuggles and finding a good sunny spot to lounge. A typical terrier, you'll often find him burrowed in the blankets on your bed. He loves just being at home with the people he trusts.
As Levi experiences anxiety in new situations and with new experiences, he is suited to a confident and experienced carer who can continue his training and manage his anxiety. He is not comfortable around other animals or kids, so is looking for an adult only household where he can be your only pet.
He doesn't cope well being separated from his people, so may best suit someone who is home more often and can work on this with him. He can be reactive to things that move like bikes or wheelbarrows, so you'll need to help desensitize Levi to these experiences.
However, Levi is very trainable and clever. He will excel in a home where you can give him ample time and training to extend his skills. He knows the basic sit, stay, drop, but also knows how to find mum or dad when instructed to, 'where's dad?', etc. You'll be surprised at the things he can do when he puts his mind to it! He loves a good tug of war toy and soft toys which he can squeak.
If you'd love to welcome Levi into your home, please contact DFLrescue@gmail.com to apply. He can be fostered, or fostered with the view to adopting.
Medical notes
Medication for anxiety. While Levi is in foster care, the cost of his medication will be covered by the rescue.
