About Max
🛑NOT AVAILABLE FOR INTERSTATE ADOPTION 🛑
Max is a handsome 3yo Parson Russell Terrier (longer legs than a Jack Russell) weighing in at 8kgs.
He needs to be an “ONLY DOG” - as he doesn’t like sharing his humans and is also food and toy possessive around other dogs.
Not suitable for children under 10. No chickens, birds or pocket pets. He tolerates the one cat he is presently homed with.
He is very lively and likes to be on a “mission” whether it be games, running or playing with toys. Loves playing ball. Definitely not a quiet little lap dog. He does however enjoy his inside time of an evening laying on his blanket on the couch.
We would like him to go to an active retired household. Or perhaps an older family who work from home as he enjoys the companionship.
He is house trained and an inside/outside dog. He used to sleep on owner’s bed but now sleeps outside with no problems.
A large secure yard would be a bonus as he likes to zoom around burning off excess energy.
Does pull on lead so extra training required in this department. He also can’t be trusted off lead!

Adoption details
All dogs are vet checked, desexed, microchipped, C3 vaccinated, wormed and flea/tick treated.
FCAR house all dogs with foster carers in private homes. This allows them to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. We then have an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dog may suit your family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial - $50 deposit. If the dog doesn't fit with your family, they will be returned to us and deposit refunded.
To arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs please message this page or call 0447 175511.
The committee and carers of FCAR are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we don't answer your enquiry straight away.
