About Bear ~ 4yr Old Kelpie X Staffy (Hold 27/07/20)
Bear is a 4 year old male Kelpie X Staffy, and possibly the happiest little boy you will ever meet. He has the most amazing get lost in me eyes and will look up at you with a smile on his beautiful face and a wag of his tail. He is such a handsome boy, everyone he meets falls instantly in love with him!
He is good with other dogs, sometimes he can get a little overly excited but he is learning to introduce himself in the right way. His favourite game is playing tug of war and fetch, as well as enjoying long walks. Bear has not been tested with cats, so we would suggest if you wish to integrate him into your home with a resident cat, that you have experience training and managing this delicate process.
Bear loves people! If you are looking for a best friend, then Bear is your boy. He will snuggle up on the lounge next to you if you let him, or sit by your feet and look up at you with his twinkling eyes. Bear has been a predominately outdoor dog most of his life, however absolutely loves being welcomed inside for a cuddle and bonding time with his humans. He is very affectionate and loves getting a pat. Although Bear is super friendly, he can have a tendency to play rough. For this reason, no homes with children under the age of 12 will be considered as his perfect forever home.
Bear is super smart and is learning the basic commands and is house trained. He is very food motivated and will learn quickly if given some love, time and patience. Bear loves to please and does his very best to learn. He will need to go to a home with someone who would take his training further, preferably someone who has experience with the breed as working dogs do require a heightened level of exercise to remain happy and content. Bear loves to go for a walk and is a pleasure to walk. He travels great in the car and loves to go for drives around town.
Bear's perfect home would be a couple or someone who is home mostly throughout the day and who enjoys long walks. This handsome lad is young at heart and loves getting out and about and being active with his humans. Your attention is everything he craves.
