About Mehi
Mehi found himself at a rural Pound, unmicrochipped, and came into care with us once his Pound time was done.
He has proved himself to be an absolute sweetheart, and is now ready to swan off with his new family. He is a lovely boy, who has obviously never been a cherished member of a family, as he is still amazed when another bowl of tucker is brought to him! I think he has had to scavenge for his food up until now, poor boy.
Mehi had zero idea about walking on leash, and hated it to begin with, but now is quite happy with the leash, but tends to get between your legs if a sudden noise startles him, so ongoing training is required. He is however, eager to learn, and LOVES treats as a reward, which makes training a breeze. Likewise, he had no idea what a doggie door was, or that you can come in the house, now both of these things he loves, and is going well with his toilet training. Obviously, this will need to continue in his forever home.
He is friendly and playful, and gets on well with both humans and the other dogs in care with me.
Mehi is in care in Moree, northern NSW. Please be aware that with Covid, we have no flights, and pet road transport is fully booked way ahead. Therefore, if you would like to adopt Mehi, be prepared to drive to collect him, as soon as possible. He is ready to find his home ASAP.
Click on the Enquire after this Pet button, and tell us why you would be a good fit for Mehi. We need to know your living arrangements and lifestyle. How long would he be alone during the day, if at all? Do you have other pets? Any kids? Are you able to drive to Moree to collect him if successful in adopting?
