About Pugsley
***Not for a novice dog owner. Only applicants with experience handling dogs with behavioural issues will be considered.***
Princess Pugsley is a hearing impaired French Bulldog who requires a special forever home. We believe Pugsley is 4-6 years old and was born deaf. Pugsley is a beautiful dog who is toilet trained, loves cuddles and being near people.
Pugsley is very fearful of other dogs and reactive on a walk, she barks and will lunge at other dogs (see video for an example of this behaviour). We’re looking for someone with experience in this type of behaviour who will be dedicated to her training and learning how to train a deaf dog. Pugsley requires a pet free home but kids are OK. It would be fantastic if you have any experience with deaf dogs but not essential.
Pugsley previously lived with elderly owners and it appears she didn’t get out much, so car rides and walks are quite stressful for her.
She’s also a tad clingy and needs to learn independence. Pugsley is responding really well to having firm rules put in place, and learning quickly.
Medical notes
Pugsley is a healthy dog at present but like many Frenchies has had a history of skin conditions over the years.
