About Malakai
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Malakai is a cautious boy who cannot tell us what he has been through. He arrived as a stray already desexed so was hopefully someone's beloved pet who simply got lost and never claimed. He is very much a mummy's boy and loves nothing more than jumping up on your lap for a cuddle and then settling in a nice sunny spot by the window to observe the world outside. He has suffered anxiety due to his missing years for which he is receiving treatment and has made great progress in settling into care and ceasing his obsessive compulsive behaviours. In the right home he will regain his confidence and make a stunning devoted companion.
My Ideal Home:
Malakai will need a quiet home with a lovely peaceful outlook where he can join you in your home office, help you in the kitchen and settle in front of the telly with you at night. A soft place at the foot of your bed would also be welcome and hopefully your decor will suit a black cat. As a medium / thick coated fellow he will suit someone with an easy care attitude to housework as those tumbleweeds of black fluff drift across the living room.
What is Known About My Background:
Malakai arrived as a stray with a folded ear, the result of a prior ear injury. He was adopted by a lovely couple however, they worked long hours leaving him alone for 12 hours some days which he did not cope with and resulted in excessive-grooming behaviour which now appears to be under control.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Malakai is very settled with dogs who pretty much ignore him and gave his foster brother, a 50+ kg Bull Arab a cheeky sniff of his paw today. He is less happy with other cats and would thrive best as the only cat. He is rather majestic so would fulfil anyone's cat desires. He has not been tested with children but is unlikely to be too stressed so long as they treat him gently with respect.
