Dastan

If you’re on the lookout for a smart little cookie then look no further. Dastan might be small in size, but he makes up for it in personality and brains. He is just an absolute ball of fun!

Dastan is very people orientated and loves his humans. He is fantastic with children and his foster carer thinks he would love a home with teenagers as he loves to spend his days playing with the teenagers in his foster home.

His favourite things to do are to play with a ball or tug and of course lap up lots of cuddles. He enjoys going to the kid’s footy games and is very cruisey out and about. He has his basic training down pat and knows how to sit, wait, shake, lie down and goes to his bed when asked (most of the time!).

Dastan is leash reactive and has been going to training sessions to help this. He will bark at dogs when passing on a leash and his new owners should be committed to ongoing training to help him with this. He has met a few dogs and has been ok with them but at this stage we are looking for a home without other dogs, as because of the current climate we haven’t had enough opportunities to socialise him with the right dogs to help him gain confidence. Because of this he will not be suitable for a family who want a dog park dog, he is more a family dog who wants to be with his people and enjoy all the activities he can with them.

We are looking for a dog experienced home who can continue his training and socialisation. He is moderately active and needs a good amount of daily exercise. He also requires mental stimulation as well and so we are looking for a family who understands this need and knows how to fulfill him both physically and mentally.

Dastan will make an excellent family dog and is happiest when people are around, so we are looking for a home where someone is home most of the time and allow him inside to be a part of the family. He requires a warm bed inside at night. He sleeps well through the night and is toilet trained.
