About Meeko
Are you searching for a super loyal best friend? Then search no further, I am your man.
The name is Meeko :-) I am the sweetest, softest tempered little gentleman (just ask my foster mum!!!)
I am a 8 years old and 5 months Corgi x Chihuahua. (definitely leaning to the Corgi size more)
My foster mum says I'm like a teddy bear - and yes I know, I know, I have the body to prove it at the moment - but I'm on a diet and doing daily gentle walks (which I just love to do) but come on we all know a hourglass figure is sexy ???
My foster mum has other dogs - they don't bother me and I’m happy either way having a fur friend or not...... but she says i have to be honest while I’m not fazed by having cats live with me - if they run I will chase them. I tried to convince my foster mum I was just exercising - she wasn't buying it.
I am not a barker, oh no wait I did bark at my foster mum as she was in the middle of preparing my dinner and then she got distracted and went off and did something else - like seriously??? I was fading away to a shadow waiting that 5 minutes. I am apparently very food motivated and will happily come when you call me especially if a treat is involved. hmmm that could be why I am needing to lose a bit of weight!
My goal in life is to have someone home more often than not - either someone who works from home or is retired - I love lots of pats and cuddles and a few small walks thru the day to help with my diet.
I would prefer to be in a home with children over the age of 8 - small children who run and scream and jump about do stress me and I get nervous - which includes a whole lot of shaking and lip smacking. I'm happy for them to visit and say hello but not live with them (please) I'm not big on hustle and bustle at home.
I am very accustomed to sleeping on the bed and the couch and that is something I would like to continue doing thru my life.
I am toilet trained and happy to take myself out when needed be and then back in to snuggle.
Now the irony is I'm overweight right? But if I don't have good fences or supervision while I’m out patrolling the back yard I will look for a way to get out - go figure that one out!!
I would love to hear from anyone who is interested in having me as a new super loyal friend.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
