About Tommy
Tommy is an 8 month old small labrador mix who came into foster care as a very scared and timid boy. Although he didn't cope well with being an only dog in his first foster home, Tommy thrived as soon as he had a dog friend to play with and learn from. We are looking for a home with a mature and confident dog who can keep showing him how fun the world can be. At the park, Tommy is friendly and playful with all dogs he has met. He hasn't yet been tested with cats or children, but we'd prefer to see him in an adult household without the noise and unpredictability of kids. Tommy gets a little nervous with new experiences and especially with new people, but he has been making rapid progress and is eager to explore when he feels safe. At home, he adores his foster brother and plays like the puppy he is - a little naughty sometimes! - and he is very good at calming down and relaxing most of the day. He seems to take a little bit longer to trust his humans but he loves to sit nearby and have a cuddle, especially if snacks are involved! He is a truly gentle soul with a cheeky face-licking spirit!
