About Martin&Chev ~ 10 wk old kittens(On Trial 18/07/20)
PLEASE NOTE: Martin and Chev are available to a home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast area only as they will have to be desexed at one of our local vets when they reach 2kg.
Meet the gorgeous ginger brothers, Martin and Chev! Martin has the darker ginger markings, and Chev, the lighter. They are siblings of Audi and Mercedes. This litter was brought into the So Cares facility at Charmhaven, after being born under a barn. DRN brought these babies into foster care, so they could grow up in a home environment. Chev and Martin were a little unsure when they came to their new foster home, taking refuge in a little cat cave. They have experienced a lot of change in their short little lives.
They will need a forever home who is dedicated to building their confidence as they transition into adolescent cats. But we have no doubt they will blossom into wonderful family members. While we are still getting to know their full personalities, it’s already clear that Martin and Chev, are gentle, cuddly purr machines. As soon as they are picked up and or petted they begin to purr.
Like any other young kitten, they love exploring their environment, playing with toys, and they have great appetites! Martin and Chev’s foster carer has a very confident 4 month old female cat, who has already formed a fast friendship with her new foster brothers so they love the company of other cats.
We would love for Martin and Chev to be adopted as a pair (and their names could certainly be changed to match!). They love to play together, and they provide each other with company and reassurance. Preference will be given to adoptions as a pair, however, homes with an existing cat will also be considered. They would certainly be suitable for a home with an existing cat or cats.
They would be best suited to a home with children over 5 years. This is because Martin and Chev are a little shy, and respond well to gentle interactions. Their foster carer has a small, cat-friendly dog, but the kittens and dog have not yet met. More information can be provided about their compatibility with dogs upon request.
Martin and Chev are available for adoption to an indoor-only home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast Area only and their adoption fee is $250 for one kitten or $420 for both.
These kittens are in foster care in Waratah, NSW and have had their first vaccination and microchip but will need desexing at a local vet when they are 3-4 months old, which will be covered by Dog Rescue Newcastle.
