About Cricket
🎉 Introducing Cricket 🎉
This baby may weigh in at a tiny 3.8kg but we assure you she is no lightweight when it comes to personality and energy.
Cricket is sill a baby at approx. 6 months old and but in doggy years she is very clearly at the toddler stage- inquisitive, cheeky, and somewhat mischievous.
Throw in a sprinkle of sassiness, oodles of confidence and some downright cuteness and you are halfway to understanding Miss Cricket.
From bitey facing and running rings round the bigger dogs , bouncing almost 4 feet in the air to peek over at the neighbours to teasing the cats ( not the big old grumpy one though – that one spat at her and she is suitably subdued near that fella) its safe to say there is never a dull moment with Cricket around.
In true toddler style she does crash and burn big style and would sleep through a hurricane – at the moment she sleeps in her crate which she loves but would sleep on her foster mommas bed given half a chance.
She is funny, sweet and incredibly loving but make no mistake she is no lap dog and would really benefit from an active family and a busy household.
Cricket loves to be involved in everyone’s business and really needs a home where she will get lots of stimulation and attention.
She is an inside dog but loves to play outside and investigate everything – she has mastered the doggy door with ease and loves adventures in the car.
We are really hoping to find her experienced owners who are willing to continue her training (or owners that will commit to taking her to puppy school).
You will also need good fencing (and neighbours that are not averse to a cheeky little face peeking over at any given time).
Cricket is dog friendly but can be a little puppy persistent so would need a patient playmate if there was one.
She is generally ok with cats but if she is bored she will give chase for fun – unless they are big and grumpy and spit at her to pop her in her place.
Children of the older variety would be more suited than teeny ones as she can be jumpy and still a bit puppy nippy on occasions.
The pound had her listed as a Jack Russell Terrier, but we do see some foxie in there too.
She is desexed, microchipped as well as being vaccinated and flea / worm treated to date.
She has also had surgery to repair a cherry eye and remove some annoying dew claws.
Her adoption fee is $625 and she is located in foster care in Darra.
Please Note – We do anticipate there will be a lot of interest in Cricket.
Due to Covid restrictions and also out of respect to her carer we will only be arranging a few meet and greets at this stage.
If you would like to meet her with a view to adoption, please send us a detailed message telling us about yourself and the home you could offer her along with your location and a contact number.
We will go through applications with her carer – only those selected for a meet will be contacted.
Thank you so much for understanding.🍀
