About Jess
Hi, This is Jess. She is such a lovely special girl who deserves an amazing home - so we thought we'd do her adoption summary a little differently and tell you all about the new home that SHE would like.
Jess is medium sized, like a short chunky cattledog. She is very sweet and gentle and absolutely loves to cuddle, she will jump up softly and wrap her paws around you for a hug. We aren't sure where she came from but its obviously someone loved her once, and it wouldn't surprise me if she came from an older person/couple. She is definitely an indoor dog and will sleep in her designated place in a room or at the foot of the bed snoring softly, or through the day will lay in the hallway or somewhere not underfoot but not too far away from you. She is very loyal and will bond quickly to 'her human'. Jess loves food, particularly human food (she seems to think she is human), bones and dentasticks. She loves a morning or evening short walk with lots of sniffing, and is super eager to jump in the car just for a ride. She'll go outside for toileting but daintily steps on the grass as if afraid to get her feet wet, and will run back inside afterwards. I didn't bother trying to see if she plays with toys or would chase a ball, Princess Jess is too mature for that it seems.
She isn't a fan of other dogs, she doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body, but seems to think if she stands still long enough they'll go away, I describe it as ""tolerant and optimistic ignorance"". Even with my 3 harassing her she did her best to avoid both the large and small. I'd say she would be the same with young children (and who can blame her). Another dog with a similar mature ignorance would also suit her well. She is super smart, and my partner says she has more obedience skills than me! She can sit, shake, drop, and lay down (I think she even high 5'd me a couple times) and yes, lots of cuddles.
I'm sure you can now see why this one is so special, and why she deserves the best of homes. If you think this sounds like a perfect match - please give ""her people"" a call on our adoption line and we'll see what she thinks.-
