About Rory
WE HAVE RECEIVED a huge interest in Rory.
We will not be able to physically respond to everyone that has applied.
If his profile is still up, we are still looking for the right fit.
Please be mindful, in what we are looking for with Rory. 💙
My name is Rory and I’m a Shihtzu x Bichon.
I’ve been in cars since February with severe ear infections that ruptured my eardrums. For 3 months I needed daily visits to the vets for flushing and drops to try and heal them.
Eventually it did happen and I was ready to look for my forever home.
A lovely lady adopted me 5 weeks ago and on the adoption form and my profile it was a perfect match.
But unfortunately it was a love hate relationship, and she became a little scared of me.
I’m back with the rescue and have gone to another carer as my precious carer already has another doggie to look after.
I can get a little growly with some dogs, but that’s because I’m scared of them.
I bond really quickly with my new person and can get a little jelly if another dog comes to share my human. But if I have the right human that knows doggie language and can pick up the signals and reminds me, I’m all good.
I need someone that is home a lot to dote on me 24/7.
I need a active home, as I love my walks and visits to the parks to mingle.
I’m great with kids but the boss lady here says kids over 12 that are respectful of my timid quirks.
I need weekly ear leans to make sure I never ever have those sore painful ears again.
I have my own special muzzle for ear time as it calms my nerves and I relax for the job.
I don’t want people that work full time as I get lonely.
I just want someone that gets me Quirks and all. I need some guidance and understanding as life has been abit crap up to now.
(Except for when TOTF saved me and fixed my ears.
I’m on the Gold Coast.
My adoption fee is $550

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
