Hi, I’m Scarlet and I am a special girl looking for a special home. I am looking for an older cat buddy to live my life with because I am quite scared of people. I am not a dominant cat and will the best of friends with your kitty (I promise!). Your confident kitty will help me relax and be less frightened in my new home as I will look to them for comfort.

I spent my early kitten days in a cat colony where I was protected by older cats and I grew to depend on them for my security. In my foster home I have two older boy cats who look out for me, play with me and make me feel safe. But every time my human foster mummy comes near me I run and hide.

I am frightened by the size of people – when you meet me at ground or eye level and pat me I purr and I roll over so you can pat my tummy. But mostly when I see you coming I look for the nearest safe place to hide until you go away.

I need an experienced cat person looking for a buddy for their cat to take me on. My new human will need to know I will take time to settle in and will likely hide from them, possibly for months. I am timid but once you pick me up (when you can catch me, ha ha!) I will let you pat me and I will purr and love it. But the slightest noise and I need to make my escape again.

I am not suited to a home with children (unless they’re much older children) and dogs frighten me as much as people - so no dogs please. I would be great for a single person or a couple who have lots of patience and understanding that I need time to come around.

I am a free spirit and I love to run and play and am particularly fond of chasing the red laser dot. I also have a toy mouse that I will pad around, throw in the air and carry in my mouth too. I am very fond of bird and fish videos on YouTube and will watch them for hours if you let me.

I am a very pretty girl with short little legs and a lovely round face. I am also very small for my age. I think I will grow in confidence as I grow in size but right now the world seems very big and that frightens me a lot. Can you help me overcome my fear?
