About Alastor
Alastor is a fun loving and cheeky natured 8 month old male Sphynx cat. Whilst he may only have one eye this does not appear to slow the little daredevil down!
Alastor enjoys cuddles but prefers them in his own time, he doesn’t like to be held when he’d rather be playing and will jump out of your hands to get back to doing what he wants to do! However, when he is tired he will come and snuggle and purr up a storm! Alastor would like a home where he’s allowed to snuggle in bed with his humans at night.
Alastor is a little busy body! He loves following his carers around and seeing what they’re getting up too or laying in the sun by the window spying on the neighbours. He is very curious and likes to explore, he is very playful and active and likes to chase cat wands or wrestle with other his other cat friends. He is a little ball of energy. Alastor is good with older children as he likes it when they play with him.
Alastor LOVES his food, and will overeat if food is left out or try and steal everyone else’s food (including the humans!). Sphynx typically need more food because of their high metabolism’s and Alastor is very active so he is a big eater. He is currently on a raw diet and this is something that would be a must in his new home.
Alastor is currently in a foster home with older quiet small dogs and other cats and he is ok with this, but he is not timid so will give them a swat on the nose if he wants his own space.
Alastor is litter box trained.
Alastor is an absolute delight to have around and full of love and adventure!
Medical notes
Despite a bald body, a Sphynx requires at least as much grooming as cats with fur and maybe even more.
Their skin must be kept moisturized with a gentle, scent-free lotion or oil, and they need regular baths so as not to leave greasy spots on your furniture and clothing.
Use a gentle baby shampoo or moisturizing shampoo and rinse thoroughly, especially between the folds of the wrinkles. Baby wipes will help to keep them clean between baths.
Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
