My story is a bit like something out of a charles dickens novel except that it isn't a work of fiction. I did have an owner but like oliver i was never given enough food for a big growing dog and if i asked for "some more" i was treated very harshly. So it's no surprise that i became thin and unhappy. It may also help to explain why i have a tendency to 'resource guard' which means i can be protective of my food.

coming to the rspca is one of the best things that has happened to me. I am well fed and putting on weight and feeling so much better. I get lovely walks and am starting to feel like a new dog. I have heard people say that i have a gorgeous face especially when i smile and that's something i am doing most of the time now. I am hoping to find an owner with patience who will be prepared to come along to training with me so we can both get the most out of our relationship. I am not really well suited to kids and my ideal owner will have experience with large dogs. Will you help me find my 'happy ending'?
