Requirements: will not be left for extended periods, secure fencing, committed to ongoing training and love, active family that can include him in daily activities.
Obi is the most loving, caring and friendly fur baby that you could enjoy and ask for. He brings joy and love into everyone's life. He will embrace you and your family and the love he will bring cannot be calculated. Your life has a greater purpose when you are with Obi, he is so loving and enthusiastic about everything life has to offer. Obi will embrace you and walk you around the neighbourhood with pride. He will introduce you to people as he loves life. Don't hesitate, Obi is the gift that keeps on giving.
Obi can be jumpy but does settle he is only a pup. He understands and responds to the leave command exceptionally well. It’s how we have helped him so I’m pretty proud of how far he’s come.
He loves toys, balls and water.
He is great with other dogs and loves to run and play. He’d be great for an active family. He loves having something to do.
Obi is very responsive to training with positive reinforcement, repetition and treats - this boy could go far. He has lots of potential.
He is okay with cats. It’s more about whether or not you cat could cope with a bouncy puppy.
Obi knows and responds to many words...sit, come, down, up, leave, inside, outside, ahh ahh and No. He knows and responds to his name. His favourite words to hear, the words that make his eyes smile are “Good Boy”.
Obi is great when out walking on the lead. He had an issue when he arrived where he would try to chase car tyres, he would be the same with bikes. To curb his enthusiasm we make him sit and be calm him as cars go past. He has learnt to not be reactive, it’s for his safety that I need to explain this. Nothing good comes from chasing mobile things; like cars. So whilst he does not try to escape, he’s not a fence jumper, however safe secure fencing is a must.
He loves the hose and actually attacks it. We have been discouraging this but he still gets over excited. It should not be encouraged.
This baby boy is just one lovely dog and who enjoys life. He just wants someone to love him, so he can love them right back.
