About Bo
Everyone meet Beau the miracle cat! Beau was taken on by Second Chance Animal Rescue and was a scared boy who struggled to adapt to his new surroundings. Unfortunately he managed to break out of a 3rd story window on his first night in foster care and we thought we would never see him again, hunting high and low but with no success.
Ten weeks later and we received a call that Beau had been found and taken to the pound. When he returned to Second Chance Beau was in a terrible state. He had lost a scary amount of weight and had some health issues due to his starvation. He received emergency veterinary treatment and was placed in a special foster home where he could continue to be nursed and shown the love he deserved.
After 6 weeks in foster care Beau is a completely different cat! He's put on weight and his medical issues have resolved.... and what's even better is that Beau has definitely realised that the streets are no place for a ragdoll who likes the pampered life and he's now officially become the softest lap cat there is.
Beau loves spending time with humans, he is very talkative but has a lovely soft meow so it's just like he's actually joining in on the conversation. He enjoys sitting on your knee if you're on the computer or sprawling across you if it's a night for netflix. Bed time, he prefers to come in and join you under the covers but if that's not for you he'll also sleep anywhere where he can keep cosy and warm. Beau hasn't been the most playful cat but as time goes on he's shown he enjoys a little game of chase the mouse toy here and there but is mainly kept happy by just being in the vicinity of his humans.
Beau has an excellent appetite and eats both biccies and wet food but he is a major fan of anything with a fishy flavour. Beau has spent lots of time zipping around in his foster mum's car and going on trips to the vets and is never phased by anything. In fact he's so relaxed in the car he'll happily munch on treaties if you put a few in there with him. Beau is also very comfortable being around other animals including dogs. Beau is very comfortable with nail trims and loves getting a brush, his coat is a little patchy at the moment as he has a lot of matts from when he was on the streets but his lovely coat will grow fully back soon!
Beau will need to be an indoor cat as he has proven he doesn't do well in the outdoor world. Beau also sometimes likes to hide under things like blankets, beds or sofas and this is normally where he likes to sleep during the day purely as it's where he feels secure.
Beau will make his new owners very happy and his unconditional love will make your heart melt. After not the best start to finding his forever home, he cannot wait to find a place where he can settle down and enjoy his special 'Beau' way of life.
