About Jedda ~ 1yo Sharpei x Staffy (On trial 30/6/20)
Jedda is an approximately 1 year old Sharpei x Staffy and one of the loveliest natured dogs I have ever had the pleasure of looking after. She is such a delight to have around.
Jedda is a calm, intelligent dog who is easy to train and very eager to please. She is the sort of dog who loves to form a very close and loyal bond with her human.
She loves people, but is shy with strangers and takes a while to warm to new people but once she gets to know you she is very affectionate. She is a protective of her family and a good watch dog who will certainly let you know if a stranger is at the door.
Jedda has had a rough start to life. Believed to be only about one year old herself, she was found abandoned with a litter of puppies when they were just 3 days old. She was in terrible condition, underweight with bald patches in her fur. She was an amazing and dedicated mum to her pups and they have all blossomed and have found their forever homes. It is now Jedda’s turn to find her perfect home. She has been desexed and is now a healthy and happy dog.
Jedda is happy to laze around during the day (preferably at your feet) but she is only a young dog and definitely needs daily exercise. She loves a good run off the leash to burn her energy and really enjoys playing with other dogs or chasing a ball. She is not a jumper or a digger or a chewer or a barker but she would become quickly bored if not well exercised.
Jedda is happiest by your side and needs someone who is home most of the time. She is easy to take out in the car and loves trips to the shops or to the café. She just wants to be with you.
Jedda needs to be allowed inside and part of the family. She is good with children and friendly to all other dogs. She has a strong chase instinct so would not be good with pet birds, cats or other pocket pets. She is NOT the sort of dog you can leave in the backyard and go off to work. She hates being on her own and can become quite stressed. She is best suited to someone who is looking for a constant companion or someone who has another dog that she would bond with.
Jedda needs a yard with secure fencing to keep her safe. No rural style fencing. She needs to sleep inside and be welcome in the house. She is toilet trained and has an easy care coat so is no trouble to have in the house.
If you are after a loving and loyal companion then Jedda is the girl for you. Please contact Lucy on hollardlucy@gmail.com or you can fill out the adoption form online at https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Jedda’s adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped. She is currently in care in the Newcastle area, NSW.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
