About Spook
Things for Spook haven’t worked out the way we/he had hoped. Adopted by a lovely (almost) retired lady and a couple of weeks later, her family circumstances changed dramatically, so that she’s no longer able to keep him, through absolutely no fault of Spook’s.
This is Spook’s original story:
Poor Spook was so scared at the Pound. Extremely thin, he’d obviously been starving before arriving there (the photo of him standing was taken not long after he arrived, he has gained weight considerably since being in care).
He was very mistrustful of men but is gaining confidence.
He would be suited to a home where a female is the primary caregiver, initially at least - a home where someone is home more often than not.
He’s a very loving boy, good on a leash, great with other dogs and loves to play with them. He’s not at all interested in cats.
Spook is a bit of a character and lifts his lips and smiles at you sometimes!
He’s a good boy and would love a nice home where he was a loved and valued member of the family. His energy levels are moderate.
Spook’s adopter has added the following information to his credentials:
“He sleeps without a stir on his bed right through the night, he goes outside to the toilet with no accidents in the house. He has warmed to male visitors quickly and is fine with my grandchildren, but he does jump up when excited and would perhaps not be suited to a home with children under 5. He can spend a few hours on his own.
He walks well on a loose lead but is nervous of cars approaching (which of course can be overcome in time).
Spook considers himself a lap dog and likes to climb onto your lap.
A very sweet dog.
