About Jessie
Hi my name is Jessie, a two year old Great Dane x. Don’t be scared by Great Dane, I am medium size at 32kg. I am a little bit shy at first until I feel safe then wherever you go your shadow will be with you.
I love going for drives and adventures. Most of the time driving I am asleep. Walks are great fun too. The best way for us to be a team is to make sure I am wearing my halty and don’t let me off the lead. All those amazing new smells and animals get me excited and walk fast pulling sometimes. The halty helps me understand we are a team that sticks together.
Sometimes I feel uncomfortable around men and growl. It is important to introduce us slowly and keep me on my lead so I feel safe. Sometimes loud noises scare me too especially thunder. Cuddles always help me feel safe.
Family is important to me. If you are sad I will come and give you a big lick and a cuddle. I am also very protective of my home and my family.
My dream forever home will have a big backyard with high fences. There will be lots of toys like squeaky balls and the kong ones that give you treats. Ideally you will be home lots and we can play with my squeaky ball in the backyard. I love lots of praise and cuddles when I bring the ball back. We can have heaps of fun going on walks, drives, playing and training. I am really smart and love to show you how clever and fast I am when we play and train. When we are home and you are busy or relaxing, I can sit on the mat outside the door, survey and protect our realm. If you are watching tv my most favorite thing to do is to snuggle up beside you and love you.

Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks (for dogs) / 6 weeks (for cats) sometimes more, see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
