About Daisy
Hello There … I’m Miss Daisy.❤️
Also known as Daisy Duke or "Dookie" I have been part of the Mini Rescue family for about 9 months.I have had some health issues caused by my lifestyle before I came here and have needed to see Mr Vet Man a lot .. but he says I am just about as good as new now and we can finally find my Forever People. Until recently I was living with my first foster momma and we had a very busy house there.
I showed that I am a gentle girl and that I just love children and other fur babies (dogs and cats). Not an aggressive bone in this body. I love to snuggle, particularly love a good belly rub and I very rarely bark. Lately I’ve been spending time on a farm with lots of acres to run around. There are cows here, but I never chase them. I do love a swim in the dam when I have permission to do so. There is so much room to run around, but I never go too far from my people. I enjoy a good long walk and I never pull on the lead.
I’m also perfectly happy to curl up in a ball and sleep all day if you’d let me (I learnt that from my foster cat siblings).
Before I retired, I had a job making puppies. It wasn’t my favourite time of my life.
My humans did not really take care of me and I didn’t even get much of a chance to play.
I think I must have chewed things that shouldn’t have been fed to me because my front teeth are a bit worn down. I wasn’t really taught a lot, but I’m a smart learner. Like most ladies who have had multiple children, my bladder needs a bit of special attention, so my humans feed me bladder care food.
I’ve got 14kg of food in the shed and 12 big tins full that my foster momma will donate to get me started in my new home.
I’m such a lucky girl to be where I am today.
All I need now is to find my forever family that will continue to love me and show me that humans aren’t so bad after all.
Will that be you? 🍀
Daisy Duke is a 6-year-old Border Collie and is in foster care in Wamuran. She is desexed, vaccinated to date and microchipped.
She has had surgery to remove bladder stones and her new family will need to commit to feeding her an appropriate diet to protect her from a recurrence.
As Daisy explained her front teeth are a little worn – no further attention is needed at this stage but her forever will just need to be aware.
If you are interested in meeting this beautiful girl, please send us a message with LOTS of information about yourself and the life you could offer Daisy.
Due to COVID restrictions we are restricting meets to only the best matches and her carer will need to choose based on information provided.
Only those successful at securing a meet will be contacted - Thank You for Understanding.
