About Aspen ~15mo Border Collie (On Trial 05/07/2020)
Everyone meet the beautiful 15 month old Aspen! Aspen is a sweet girl who loves nothing more than being around her humans.
Aspen is a quick learner and knows her basic commands. She can shake, sit, lay down and is toilet trained. Her foster carer thinks she would come out of her shell more for someone that can give a lot of attention and time to train her. Aspen loves to cuddle and is very affectionate.
Aspen’s ideal home would be a property where her energy and mind are put to the job during the day, but allowed to be inside with the family at night. Aspen relaxes when she is allowed inside. Aspen would be okay as an only dog if her humans included her in their daily lives.
Aspen will need to go to a home where the family know that she will need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation or she will become bored. Aspen is obsessed with birds and loves to chase them out of her foster carer’s yard.
Aspen is still learning not to jump up. She is currently in care with a 6 year old and will jump up to give him a kiss and lick his face. Therefore, a home with children older than 6 would be preferred. You will need good fencing 5-6 ft high with no small gaps, unfortunately rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.
For more information or to meet Aspen, please contact Sam at samantha.jane.drn@gmail.com and you can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Aspen’s adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. Aspen is in care in Shortland, NSW.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
