About Hazel
Hi Everyone!
I am Hazel and I am 4 years old and I am a Dachshund x Jack Russell
Need to get this out first encase you stop reading – I am lousy at first impressions – I get a little scared and nervous but if you just leave me to come to you when I’m ready – my curiosity usually gets the better of me in 5 – 10 minutes and then I’m ready for pats and chats!
Oh yeah and I am not fussed on other dogs and if I see a cat I will chase them.
I will bark at another dog or people walking past – but I do stop when you telling me too – I personally think I’m protecting my foster mum from the ninja’s and dragons but she tells me its just a dog or person walking past the front of the house.
Okay so if you are still reading my post (and thank you if you are )
My foster mum says I’m a clever girl who is eager to please and so loving.
My foster mum says I am a wonderful little companion and do enjoy that she has been home thru COVID so much.
Back about my security skills – I do love to people watch I’m thinking of starting a post isolation support group for other dogs who love doing this too but not like in person or anything cause I’m happy in my home.
My foster mum says I’m a great little walking buddy and love to be out in the backyard sunbaking especially after some water play!! I also love tennis balls and fetch!! I could play that for ages!
I do love to sleep inside at night – on the bed is even better and do ask that, that can continue.
Once I am comfortable and settled I show my true self – my foster mum says I’m gorgeous and very loving!
If you are okay with giving me that chance after my first impression (and it’s improving all the time as I meet new people) then please click on the adoption application link!

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link
https://goo.gl/forms/PqpkCcE89ikDR2Lw1
Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
