About Stormy
Meet Stormy – a handsome (but adorably dorky) 4-year old male greyhound with a big heart and happy-go-lucky attitude to life.
Stormy arrived in foster care only recently, however his foster mama is moving house, and we thought it was the right time for Stormy to find his very own forever home.
Stormy is currently living in an apartment and seems quite happy there. A home with a bit of outdoor space would be a lovely bonus for him, but provided his humans are happy to walk him twice a day, with an extra before-bed wee walk (rain, hail or shine) we are also happy to consider apartment homes.
Stormy is toilet trained and generally has lovely house manners. Due to Covid19 restrictions, his foster mama is currently working from home, so he has only been left home alone for short periods. He has not shown signs of separation anxiety when he has been home alone, however any new homes will need to be prepared to spend some time helping him settle and doing some ‘alone training’ just to continue building his independence. We are preferencing homes where Stormy won’t be alone for FT working hours, and ask that you consider your working hours/social life both now and post-Covid before applying.
Stormy walks well on-leash however he sometimes feels a little overwhelmed by the big, wide world and needs a little encouragement. He is not well-socialised with other dogs, and although generally friendly isn’t a fan of the butt-sniff hello. His humans will need to be happy to continue building his confidence on walks and slowly improving his social skills. Amazing Greys can help support his new family with training resources/recommendations.
Stormy is a very affectionate boy and if you have the right home for him, he will thank you with lots of doggy kisses and by letting you shower him affection every day. Please email us at adopt@amazinggreys.com.au if you would like an application form for Stormy. He can’t wait to hear from you!
Please no applications from homes with small dogs or cats. Applications from experienced homes with resident medium-large breed non-greyhounds only. Please be aware that at Amazing Greys we insist that any training is rewards-based/positive reinforcement only.
