About Orville
Orville is a very special boy. He rescued him after he was dumped at a school. Orville is such a loving and gentle boy, who is settling into home life well. He is super smoochy and loves to head bump you and chirps to find out where you are located.
He is great with other cats, and loves to smooch and groom them as well. Orville is still building his confidence, and like most cats, can be a little jumpy with loud noises or sudden, fast movements. Nevertheless he is ready to find his furever home.
Orville loves to play with his feather toys, and loves a pat. He needs a loving human who will understand that he may hide for the first few days while he gets settled in his new home. He loves his food, particularly roast chicken - this is the way to his heart.
Orville is FIV+ and MUST be rehomed as an entirely INDOOR cat (unless he has access to a cat run) FIV is not a death sentence! Cats with FIV can live almost as long as a cat without FIV, their life expectancy is still around 15 years, and CANNOT be transmitted to humans! All that will be required is twice yearly checkups instead yearly, and ensuring that his vaccinations are always kept up to date. FIV+ can only be transmitted to other cats through very deep bite wounds, It CANNOT be transmitted to another cat by sharing litter trays, food bowls, or play fighting. Orville must be kept indoors - he has NOT shown any signs of aggression towards any of our other foster cats, he is very sweet towards our other foster cats.
